Chairman’s Note

Kayan will handle aircraft leasing, asset management and Japanese operating leases. We will concentrate on new aircraft assets: Boeing 777s, Airbus A380s, and A350 sale-and-leasebacks – as well as narrow-bodies.

We are expecting to close our first deal imminently. The transaction which is for a wide-body and involves a major airline is currently being finalized by K&L Gates, our legal counsel.

We have hit the ground running and have started aggressively building our pipeline for the year. We are actively looking for more assets, and in particular to acquire a portfolio, which is one of the avenues to diversify our risk and broaden our relationships.

Kayan Aircraft Leasing will be based in London and in Dublin. By the start of May we will have a fully operational platform with asset management and deal execution capabilities, with specialists in Japanese Operating Leases, asset-backed securities, and private placements.
